This is a shitpost community, but I’m 100% committed to this chart.
Beauty and the Beast but the Beast is the only Real person and he turns into a muppet at the end
Is he a beast or a muppet?
It’s like belle (miss piggy) saying “what a hideous beast” and it’s just a guy
No it’s Hugh Jackman
That reminds me of the old Twilight Zone episode with the woman getting facial surgery. “The eye of the beholder” or something along those lines
I was going for a play on the song am I a man or a muppet, but replacing man for beast, was maybe a bit obscure
Woosh straight over my head
I would pay good money to see this film.
Muppet. Fury. Road.
Fuzzy Road
Mad Max: Furry R0w0d
Moving right along.
Footloose and WITNESS ME!
Muppet Interstellar.
"It’s not possible… "
No, it’s necessary.
As soon as The Muppets and Lucasfilm were both owned by Disney, my friends and I spent a lot of time taking about how a Muppet Star Wars just makes sense.
Now, it’s a bit of a crowded space, with Blue Harvest and Space Balls already doing a lot of parody work in this area, but I think there’s still room. The only problem is that I think the normal formula would have Luke be played by a human and everyone else be Muppets, but Kermit feels like he’d be a great Luke. So you’d need one of the other key roles to be human to balance it out.
I think we’d need a human Yoda too. Just an any guy.
Danny DeVito would make a good yoda.
Danny Devito would be a great Chewie

Muppet Training Day with Kermit and Fozzie
I’d actually go to the movies for this. I never go to the movies.
Well they keep making Godzilla movies. I think I could watch a Muppet Godzilla movie.
I liked the remake of midway but much else. If it’s not featuring muppets and newer then 50 years old, probably doesn’t need a remake
Muppets Hamilton
Heck I just hope they do restart the Muppet Show. The soft pilot was pretty good, actually got me to watch a Sabrina Carpenter performance, and Seth Rogen’s punchability is at an all-time low. Come on Disney. (I hate saying those words)
Muppet centipede? Human centimuppet?
That’s much more wholesome. It’s just all the puppeteers holding hands while wearing Muppet gloves.
But what about all the gender or race swap possibilities?
Are Muppets good or is this more of a nostalgia thing for people?
I’ve never seen Muppets. I don’t remember it airing on our national TV when I was a child. It’s not much of a thing in my social circles either.
I rarely see the Muppets but they were a cultural cornerstone for the 90s-00s. My older sisters can name everyone while I can name Kermit, Miss Piggy, Bert and Ernie, and cookie monster (use to be my favorite Friendly’s sundae). Wait is Elmo and yellow bird also muppets?
Do we not separate Muppets muppets from Sesame Street muppets? The only Muppets muppets you mentioned were Kermit and Miss Piggy. Also the yellow bird from Sesame Street is Big Bird.
The Muppets muppets were more of an 80s thing, and then they spawned movies. Kermit, Miss Piggy, swedish chef, fozzie bear, animal and so on are Muppets muppets.
They’re all one thing. Kermit used to show up on Sesame Street as a newscaster. And Big Bird shows up in the Muppet Movie from the 70s. Jim Henson and Frank Oz did both.
No clue, I know of Sesame Street only from occasional memes. I always thought it all one and the same, since it’s all puppets.
Wait, does Sesame Street belong to the Muppets?
Yep, they’re all Jim Henson. And they show up on each other’s stuff–Kermit was occasionally a newscaster on Sesame Street, and Big Bird was in the original Muppet Movie from the 70s.
The Muppets were created by Jim Henson in yhe 1950s, and made various appearances in commercials for the next 15 years.
Independently, Jim Henson was hired as a contractor to build puppets for Sesame Street. During the 70s the Muppets began to make appearances on the show.
Then in the mid-70s Henson made his own show, for British television, featuring a large cast of Muppets. This rocketed them to fame and spawned a series of feature films and spinoff shows that continues today.
I like the chaotic energy they bring on screen.
Also not officially Muppets shows, but look at Farscape and Labyrinth. Chef d’oeuvre!
The Muppets are good. Very entertaining for all ages. But these remakes are nothing but a money grab. No new story line, a few rewrites, toss in a few jokes, get nostalgic movie goers to buy tickets and make a bunch of money.
The Muppets are more than good enough to deserve their own new stories and not just rehashed garbage.
Personally, I think they’re good. Obviously it’s subjective, but I think there’s a good reason that they’ve withstood the test of time.
The brand of humor is timeless. The absurdity of a world where a pig and a frog can take on human roles without comment is just as funny now as it was 40 years ago. The overall style of humor is somewhat dry but still accessible.
It’s not for everyone, but it’s for a lot of people.
Muppet Hudson Hawk. Everyone BUT the Hawk is a Muppet.
The musical bits! You genius!
Muppet Fear and loathing in Las Vegas
