This is how you know tech was good in the 90s.
These overly nerdy and grim looking setups were actually just a good time since the tech was worth their salt.
It’s also funny how there isn’t the same allure to having lots of modern tech the same way the 90s tech had the cyberpunk allure.
This is what bugs me about capitalism, they don’t keep to their corner, they basically stand back and look for the most opportunistic land and steal it from people that want nothing to do with capitalism.
I wish we could encapsulate all that in one region so it would become obvious it doesn’t make things better.
One reason is that the US is just too big and too different to fight back effectively.
I think the most practical resistance is the west coast trying to split off.

Surprisingly not a problem for some shows, good example is Simpson golden age.
There is a gay episode but it’s mostly about Homer overreacting.
A lot of the satire of Simpson is trying to be functional in a dysfunctional system, which has aged like the greatest wine that frank grimes can’t afford.
