What worries me is that companies are using “the AI fucked up” as an excuse and just… not fixing the problem. They’re using it as an accountability shield.

I think yall are projecting your own issues on to someone who wants to talk about games.

Dude is responding to your energy. Now you’re losing your shit.
If he needs therapy you need it more.
Yes, that’s all true.
But its no different from the other examples I gave. All three of those are empowering art that modern listeners take out of context and get offended by.
She knows exactly what’s in the drink.
The context is that she doesn’t want to leave.
Yes. Now get over it.
I’m only just beginning to understand what L.P Hartley meant when he said “The past is a foreign country”
The quintessential example. Rocky Horror is another.
I’d also include the controversy around “Baby It’s Cold Outside”.
Oh yea some of it was definitely just overt racism.
I think a lot of the time it’s Gen Z not understanding context. There was overt racism, but a lot of media that is considered racist now was either depicting the experience of people at the time or making fun of racists.
Its quicker than “I’m not interested in discussing a volatile subject with a rando who may get violent.”

Unsolicited therapy advice usually winds people up.
Because its an asshole thing to do.
We decided temporary safety was better than essential liberty.
And I’m aware of what the quote was about, thank you.

You can knee-jerk but you can’t give informed criticism.
You can’t even separate “You shouldn’t obsess over avoiding ideas” from “You have an obligation to absorb everything.”
Which is why I hate it when baby gays shit on that representation rather than considering the context it was made in.
