How do you persuade them that you’re right or how do you come up with an argument that makes you feel like your chosen ideology does not have any flaws?
The first: you probably can’t. They are just as set in their world view like anyone else arguing on the Internet, including you and me.
Second: accept that all ideologies have flaws. Policies however well meaning have to survive contact with reality first and foremost. Or in this case reality has to survive contact with the policy.
Your mind is a powerful thing. I’m not saying what you experience is not real, in fact you never experience anything without it being through your mind. It’s a shame we’re not given the operating manual for our minds at birth.
Does it happen on weekends or days when you don’t have to go out too?
And for what it’s worth your eyes look good at least.

My chili recepie has beans in it, otherwise it’s not chili in my book. Anyway you did not invite me to eat it so I don’t really have any right to complain.
I’d add onion, paprika, and garlic to your mix.
I know storage is almost viable and i read articles about improved battery technology monthly, nuclear we know works, fusion has been a decade away for the last 50 years. But what transmission technology do we have coming that makes it a contender?
When the price goes up it’s because the renewables don’t produce power when there is no wind and sun (which pretty much sums up January here). Building more of something that does not produce power is not going to help with the price shocks.
We need to figure out grid scale storage, fusion or build nuclear power to get rid of fossil fuels. Until then utility bills will be occasionally more shocking than jamming a fork in the outlet.

My advice is not to try to make him mean.
If you want him to protect your home you can train him to bark at strangers when at home.

Not sure if it’s relevant to why you feel ridiculous, but feeling like you don’t qualify as what you are is common I think.
In my 20s I felt like a 7 year old boy dressed up in a suit and grandma pinching my cheek and going “well who is this handsome man?”.
I think it’s too common. Takes a bit of effort but I’m sure there is potential for some exciting lore development that will raise eyebrows in every casual conversation.
Like do you think you could make yourself look pregnant with coke and mentos? No matter what the result is it would be interesting to hear that story.
