Mildly Interesting@lemmy.world•China is now viewed more positively than the US in many countries around the world, according to a new study
1111·2 days agoWhat myopic bullshit. China has been and still is a deep supporter of Russia’s war.
Sure, USA under Trump was majorly fucked up even in the first term, and now it’s even worse. And while Trump is still licking Putin’s boots, they are not actively supporting Russia.

6·2 days agoThis is becoming so absurd. I’m starting to suspect that they are all hard core undercover communists, trying to make the revolution happen by doing the dumbest possible thing while pretending to be republicans.

Programming@programming.dev•Zig creator calls Bun’s Claude Rust rewrite ‘unreviewed slop’
326·3 days agoWhat makes him think it’s unreviewed? Any AI process worth its salt has several review steps.
HR is not your friend when you’re the asshole, that’s for sure.
The difference between those thoughts is sort of vague.

Technology@lemmy.world•George Lucas Goes To The Dark Side, Says AI Is ‘The Future’English
81·3 days ago“Han shot first” dude is possibly the original slop author. But then his followers outslopped him.
But also: of course AI is the future. It’s almost the current.
I use LLM for pretty much everything code-related these days. I would never make contributions to a project like Zig that specifically deny my contributions. I mean why would I specifically try to help them by directly breaking the rules they have set?
There’s an infinite amount of work to be done, no reason to harass opinionated people like that.
I’m considering banning non-LLM contributions to my projects, but I think it might be a bit too early and bit too reactionary. The best way to show that people are wrong is to try do things better than they did, not to be an asshole towards them.

Fediverse@lemmy.world•Switched from reddit to lemmy because they banned my accountEnglish
31·6 days agoSo… you talked about killing somebody or wishing someone’s death? That’s not nothing.
But yeah, I get you. I also get banned from Reddit quite easily from some low-energy borderline hateful comment postings.
Granted, one of the biggest reasons communism is responsible for so many deaths is that it was adopted by high population countries like USSR and China. And of course if you frame it via colonialism, what Communism did is almost exactly what the West did in 1800s.
I think there are better arguments against Communism than the number of deaths. Like the reasons those deaths happened: inefficiency, corruption, working against human nature and centralization of power.
And of course this comic is also propaganda.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When Margret Thatcher died people were singing "Ding dong the witch is dead". What song do you think people will be singing when Donald Trump dies?
5·6 days agoLily Allen’s Fuck You always comes to mind when I think of Trump. Perhaps it could be his funeral march. Doesn’t perfectly fit the death theme, but does fit the dude otherwise quite well.
So Long from Sound of Music.
Another one bites the dust by Queen.
But I don’t know, all joking aside, perhaps I’ll just quietly be happy. This was supposed to be finally over already 6 years ago.
Sit and I actively hate people who don’t in public spaces. Nobody aims good enough for that.
19%, during his final year. He also had 90% around the 9/11 strikes.
Trump is at 17% now and he still has 2 years to go. Perhaps.
Even though it’s a highly contested competition, I think he might have a shot at the most hated person of the century.
I would still pick Putin though, given his numerous other crimes and how he’s most probably responsible for Trump.

That’s too bad because the monitors themselves are pretty good.
