    Why on earth would the US government risk a public outrage when they can just keep the system as it is and have poor people enlist for money?

      Probably because they’re planning to start more wars than they have bodies of poor people to cover

      Plus, if raping children doesn’t generate enough public outrage to create consequences, they know they have a green light to say or do anything they want

      Fascism is capitalism in decay. As capitalism “runs out of runway”, the capitalists start stripping the country for parts. In order to distract people/tamp down revolutionary anger, and squeeze the last profits, they’ll reorient society towards total war. War at home and abroad.
