Neither opinion should be an offense, yes. Its whimsy, some people say there are hundreds of genders, hence its pseudoscientific.
You are being really stubborn about accepting that gender has a proper and scientific view, probably because the scientific consensus is not saying what you think it should be saying

Well thats a false analogy if I’ve ever heard one. It also misses the point, I dont care what he believes, I just dont think it should be a law to dictate something so whimsical and subjective.

The only thing pseudoscienctific about it is people trying to say there’s exactly two genders. Literally no one is trying to put an exact number to it except for you. You’re the only one trying to control how other people live their lives.
The guy in BC wasn’t fined for what he believed about gender. He was fined for using his position of authority to impose his own personal beliefs on everyone else in a discriminatory manner.
