Why do men do this? Even when I was young and clueless I knew this would not work, and that also women talk to each other.

      this would not work

You assume the goal is to actually try to date or fuck. It’s not. The goal is to intimidate and degrade, to make someone else uncomfortable. So viewed through that lens, it works.

The goal isn’t what you assume it is. You’re projecting your own goals and concerns onto those men.

My guess would be exhibitionism. They get sexual gratification from acting sexually towards women regardless of how those women feel about it. As for women talking to each other, that’s less of a risk on dating apps, and even irl it has never been decent at preventing sexual offenders from having plenty of victims.

I asked my man slut roommate (no shame, all sluts rock, all kind people rock) a while back, how he gets all these girls with this behavior?

He said, “I just cast a wiiiiide net and the ones that respond are down”

Beautiful and simple explanation. Just like he was, to clarify, above average beauty, and =< average smarts. Pretty good guy overall. I don’t recall he was a dick to rejection just moved along to the one that accepted.

But was he sending unsolicited dick pics or just saying hi? Because if it was the first one I got some news for you, and that news would be about him not being a good guy just because you didn’t have any problems.

If he was just saying hi…why did you respond to a comment about specifically unsolicited dick pics?

So often the real thing is other men don’t know how objectifying and creepy their womanizing friends are, because they aren’t the target. They don’t see the behavior, often because they don’t want to, so its easy to ignore.

This is where I just don’t get it. Like, as a hevaily privileged dude, I just don’t see how you can watch something like this and not go “wow, that was wildly inappropriate.”

I too wonder this sometimes. Than I realize a lot of men are clueless in general about the opposite sex.

I think the motivation of a lot of people like this is to just have meaningless sex. Someone is not flashing their dick to a future spouse. Not many stories I have heard where it goes “Once I saw that dick pic, I knew your father was the one.”

I still haven’t sent my wife a dick pic but I’m making her add it to our engagement story.

Mostly because it would make people laugh.
