Should have shown them the gun, they would’ve died of cringe by seeing this weird thing.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•There's nothing stopping an 8 year old child from just taking their parent's ID to do Age Verification...
1·4 days agoBut what if the age verification system asks for your video verification + legal documentation? Like many platforms do these days? They need you to frame up your face in on-screen cutout and then provide your documents, then it goes through a review process.
This is the biggest “inner battle”, especially when its early morning and you are half asleep and your bladder kicks you to move but the body doesn’t want to move.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Human experimentation, one way or the other.
3·11 days agoMaybe that’s why the government never makes certain vaccines mandatory, especially those that prevent communicable diseases.
I love the idea, maybe bricking the device may take some time but something that blasts weird audio on the phone or opens 100 tabs of weird websites on someone’s phone?

6·12 days agoI once saw someone sending ChatGPT and Gemini Pro in a constant loop by asking “Is seahorse emoji real?”. That responses were in a constant loop. I have heard that the theory of “Mandela Effect” in this case is not true. They say that the emoji existed on Microsoft’s MSN messenger and early stages of Skype. Don’t know how much of it is true. But it was fun seeing artificial intelligence being bamboozled by real intelligence. The guy was proving that AI is just a tool, not a permanent replacement of actual resources.
I would not want the honey from Resident Evil anywhere near my breakfast.

Technology@lemmy.world•Uber is letting women avoid male drivers and riders in the USEnglish
1·16 days agoSo what’s the point? Its a win-win drivers and passengers both right? Because the male drivers also face problems like threat of a false accusation, vomit in the car, cancelling ride in-between and not getting paid or being robbed.
A friend of mine used drive a cab for a company that took night shift employees from workplace to their homes. He was allowed to use that cab as a taxi in off time, so he did that to make some extra money. A hardworking man with a good character. He got a ride from a nightclub to some hotel or some place (I don’t recall that). He does not drive anymore, he left that job and has started some other work. Not all men are bad, and not all women are good.
The passenger was so drunk that she couldn’t even get into the car by herself. So he helped her into the backseat and then he started driving. She cancelled the ride mid-way and when he asked her to get off, she attacked him from backseat and threatened him with a false accusation. To his good luck, the guy had a two-way recording dashcam in the car, that he used to save himself.

43·18 days agoMale drivers probably want that too. Especially the drunk women.
