Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If the judeo-christian god is omni-powerful why would he instruct Adam and Eve not to eat the apple?
1·26 days agoThe Jewish interpretation is that Eve ‘knew’ God wanted Adam to the eat the apple, so she tempted him with it.
As long as you’re posting something, you’re contributing.
I personally prefer controversy because that means people are saying what they want, not just what other people want to hear.

Games@lemmy.world•What was the worst game adapation of a movie you have ever played?English
2·27 days agoShit, that game was pretty bad too. It’s nice to have bending, but the entire tone was off and it’s clear they didn’t have people who cared working on it.

Games@lemmy.world•What was the worst game adapation of a movie you have ever played?English
4·27 days agoHonestly, I think I lucked out with movie licensed games. Spiderman, Star Wars, X-men origins wolverine, I’m struggling to think of a bad one that I’ve played outside of displays in stores.
Okay, I looked it up to make sure there was a movie for this and easily the worst one I’ve played is Bionicle. I literally beat it the night I got it and was so disappointed. If it wasn’t so short, it could’ve been pretty good.

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Steam's new "golden age" is special because so many genres are popping off at once, indie expert says: "It's almost like the player base was drinking and their inhibitions lowered"English
1·27 days agoJust zoomers having to figure out for themselves that a game simply existing does not make it worth their time (or money.)

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Former Overwatch lead Jeff Kaplan says he wants to put "Rust-like mechanics" in his new survival game "someday," but for now base-building is more like "Valheim and Subnautica"English
2·27 days agoI always thought Blizzard could make a kickass survival game. The genre really needs a polished, accessible game to tie players together.
Very low expectations for this, though. Maybe Jeff really is a fantastic designer and won’t shit out garbage like so many others who left their companies such as Inafune and CliffyB.

3·1 month agoI’m saying you need to touch grass and let people voice their own opinion of a TV show.
This “shut up or agree with me” mentality is nuts.

From his perspective, you’re part of the problem because you’re advocating for resources to be spent on what you prefer over what he prefers.

Games@lemmy.world•Which series do you prefer, Megaman Battle Network or Megaman Zero?English
3·2 months agoBattle Network is great, but honestly, I’d start with Megaman X or even the original series before Zero.
How about Megaman X4 😉

politics @lemmy.world•Interest on the $38.8 trillion national debt has tripled since 2020, and it already costs taxpayers more than defense and Medicaid
1·2 months agoSure, let me clarify.
You said “democrats love deficit spending,” and then proceeded to go on about how Republicans have historically raised the deficit more than Democrats. This means your argument is (even if you’re afraid to admit it) that Republicans are worse than the Democrats for the deficit. And I agree with you! They are worse!
It’s so easy to criticize Republicans, but it’s hard to criticize Democrats and they take advantage of it as much as they can.
Democrats use deficit spending as a shield to the true cost of social welfare programs. We need these programs, otherwise people would recognize how much they’re being fucked and revolt against the system taking them for a ride. Democrats can’t have this, so they nominate wet noodles like Clinton and Biden over Sanders.
It’s disgusting, despicable, and needs to fucking end. It won’t end until people stop being proudly stupid.

politics @lemmy.world•Interest on the $38.8 trillion national debt has tripled since 2020, and it already costs taxpayers more than defense and Medicaid
220·2 months agoKind of. The US won’t collapse due to its debt, but the dollar will be devalued as money is being printed to pay it back.
This is why Democrats love deficit spending. They get to obscure the true cost of social welfare programs and ensure that workers foot the bill instead of the people making everything so expensive.

The only rule is mob rule.
