8·5 days agoI tried the demo during steam next fest. It took a bit getting used to the controls but after a little it made sense and I liked it. It’s an interesting action game that I’d like to see more of. There’s a ton of good souls like. Would like to see a wave of good character action games

5·7 days agoIt’ll continue being relevant for EGS, GOG, and Amazon games. I’m betting Valve is working on an Android app that makes the experience way smoother out of the box. Keep in mind that there’s plenty of games that aren’t looking like Ghost of Tsushima. There’s been a bunch of CRPG releases in the last decade. ARPG games too that aren’t hard to run. Victor Vran. Grim Dawn has an upcoming update
But there’s still enough hard to run games that games run through an x86 emulator will not be a real.replacement for the hard to run games. Going to at least need the day to come when devs commonly ship ARM binaries too

31·9 days agoDo it Valve. I want a Steam machine and one more controller for my living room. I already have a couple 8bitdo controllers. With that I’ll never need another console again for some fun local multiplayer

15·13 days agoGood photo. Was wondering how much space it would take. While the 9060xt is significantly better than the 7600m and FSR4, that Steam Machine is beautifully compact. No rush. Still hard to decide this or that. Also the SM coming with the Steam controller is a major plus even though 8bitdo gamepads are great
I imagine it’ll be a controller of major interest to get an open source driver mainlined in Linux. Less likely to end up plug and play on windows and mac but I can see something happening on those fronts too
