Don’t worry about the difficulty level and just play for the story.
If that isn’t for you, then definitely throw in the towel. I am truly biased though as I have played D&D for a good deal of my life.

This name was made for a MUD back in 1994. The full name is Pronell Mordini, and he was a perrin (otterfolk) merchant king, a background character in the world.
I was tasked with making my own palace and marketplace but the game shut down months later.
I’ve more or less been using the name online ever since then, as it’s almost never taken. Someone did get to pronell@gmail.com first, but who cares, especiially now?
My wife sometimes goes by Mrs. Pronell online. I’ve teased her that it should technically be Mrs. Mordini.
We are very lucky there.
Our youngest cat, Maryjane, is the enforcer. Any new animals in the house get hassled by her until they meet her standards.
Doesn’t matter how unruly the dog is, she will patiently hiss and bat at them until they chill a bit.

I often think of myself as a fuckup, especially lately as I am unemployed.
But when I look at my life honestly and with open eyes, I know I am a decent person who has grown and tried to make up for my past wrongdoing.
And I don’t know that there is much else to ask from anyone except that alone, to continue to try to grow and be better in some ways.
I can always beat myself up with would’ves and could’ves, but I can’t redo.
The only chance I have to do things differently is now.

“After recalling a memory, participants learned how to use a cognitive skill called mental rotation, which involves rotating 2D and 3D shapes using your ‘mind’s eye’. They then used this skill to play a slower form of the video game Tetris, which similarly involves rotating geometric blocks. This is thought to occupy the brain’s visuospatial areas, competing with the visual flashback, weakening its vividness and emotional impact – and critically, the frequency with which it intrudes.”
Well this is fucking fascinating. It’s almost like you’re symbolically working through the traumatic event in a way that it can actually be ‘solved’.

Dan Harmon has said the producer did this magic for him. He would often tell Dan that, no, they were over budget when they weren’t, so he could then say yes to the best ideas, actors/cameos, etc.
I’m a huge superfan. My ringtone is Professor Professorson’s.
It’s basically climbing a tower and killing most of what is in your way, but even then that is abstract.
It’s a deck building roguelike, and one of the best.

Or… this is the crime they have the actual evidence to prosecute.
Not exactly misheard but what I came up with and which became canon to my household despite not really sounding alike:
Tape Five’s ‘Taxi to Bombay’ became ‘Text me Your Butthole.’ (And please do not.)
Edit: Just remembered an actual misheard one. I am a bit hard of hearing, and the They Might Be Giants song Subliminal I heard as Submersible. Considering that the lyric is ‘Subliminal… in an unnoticeable way,’ my interpretation was pretty damned funny.
