I really don’t know a state that isn’t somehow following the European settler colonial model of resource extraction and capital accumulation, there are states that try to invest in more sustainable ways to keep that process going but I can’t help but feel like the way empires developed on the Eurasian landmass was toxic and we’ve never really broken away from it. I’m looking forward to reading Fosters book on Epicurus and Marx, I love the idea of the garden.
Nah every state is pretty bad the two you mentioned are particularly bad at the moment, but at the end of the day we’re all one one planet facing the same problems.

Show me a government that really cares about the climate and will put the climate and peoples well being before the well being of an elite group of people I would love to see it. The only time we effectively tackled climate change was when there was a lockdown, we could of used the lockdown as a springboard for actual climate solutions, less cars less bullshit jobs reserving parts of nature to not be commodified, instead every one just shrugging and went back to “normal”. It’s all very depressing.
I know what you mean I’ve gotten that angry about this stuff as well but I don’t.
