Step one would to be a wizard I guess, otherwise you’ll never even find the castle and forgot what you were doing so you are just back to trying to find someone wanting to play corn hole

Technology@lemmy.world•Colorado proposing Bill to move age verification to Operating System rather than web siteEnglish
1·11 hours agoFrom what I’ve seen on iOS it seems pretty tied down. You can set times when they can use specific apps, choose if they can edit contacts, have contact with people not in their contacts, make it so they can’t change their passcode, make it so they can’t log out of their account so they can’t bypass it, set up ask to buy or w.e and make it so they can’t install apps without your permission or get approvals sent to you for purchasing things. You can review all their screen times for individual apps without even picking up their device… And modify it from your device.
The only real bypass would be to factory reset the phone using a computer, but to get passed the activation lock they would need the password, and you could simply put the trust phone number as the parents number, thus the phone would be a brick and the parent would be notified when they attempted(and failed) to log back into the phone.

10·4 days agoWell that’s the thing, he hasn’t done anything illegal in saying they will pay $10b, legally I think he is fine to completely lie and destroy the credibility of the U.S. presidency/country. Not until he procures the money without it being passed in a budget bill or such by congress would it be illegal. That said, he may be able to get private companies to pay the $10b by promising them contracts with those countries buying in. The sketchy business deals would just creep in quick. At some point you’d think companies would say they can’t get it passed their boards though, because if he somehow loses power whether it be a cheeseburger or what, the companies have 0% guarantee the U.S. will ensure those contracts
Their political enemies:
Uh… let’s check with what Trump said last, raise or lower taxes? Take away or give guns? Drugs bad or good? Cartels bad or good? War bad or good? Raping kids bad or good?
Who are our enemies anyways?
Ooh I know. We still hate anyone who says people should be treated equal and or fair.

1·7 days agoYeah our “Chinese” places usually just do chicken in a bunch of ways that may or may not be from Asia.
Chicken with Broccoli, Chicken and snow peas or mixed vegetables, Moo Goo Gai Pan, Curry Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, Mongolian Chicken, Kung Pao, Chicken with Cashews, Hunan with black bean sauce, hot and spicy, black pepper w/ onion, Coconut, sweet and sour, lemon, honey, sesame, Bourbon, Orange, General Tsos.
Is it all Chinese influence, no. The people making it know, the people eating it know, but if they called it “Chicken Many ways” then you wouldn’t know they sold dumplings, pork and what not, lol.
Yes. That’s how things like that work. Similar to things like the playstore, or app store and such. Apple/Google/Klarna pays for the product, you pay Apple/Google/Klarna back for the product via whatever means, Mastercard, Visa etc that you attach to their store. If they don’t receive the money from you, your account goes into bad standing with Apple/Google/Klarna, not with whoever they bought the product from, because they received their payment. So if you put a stop on the payment from your bank, it will also put your account in bad standing as owing money for a product you “already received”. It’s a shit way to do things, having a middle person, but to avoid such… don’t buy things through a middleman.
Want say “Paramount plus”, buy it from Paramount, not using another service who takes it out of your bank because you gave them permissions to upon using their service.
Thousands of people run into issues because of things like this daily.
Yes, you are right. The private business they gave the money to bought it for them.
I assume because they received the payment through the private business, not directly from their bank.

Technology@lemmy.world•Elon Musk says Tesla ending Models S and X production, converting Fremont factory lines to make Optimus robotsEnglish
0·26 days agoWell the contract he signed for ~$1 trillion by 2035 specifies he has to deploy 1 million robots and 1 million robo-taxis. Which I can see happening.
The issue I see with it is he has to get Tesla car deliveries up to 20 million a year. To put that into perspective, new car sales in the U.S. has never hit 20 million vehicles that I know of. Globally I just saw their sales were at less than 2 million.
So chopping the $80,000+ models and keeping the ~$40,000 models that make up 97% of their sales makes sense. He needs something that will gather a lot of new sales, and there aren’t mass amounts of people with $100k to buy a new car.

Maybe 29% of people can’t imagine owning their own car, so they assumed the would be going there to wash someone elses car
