Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How often do you fluff your pillows?English
2·2 days agoNot going to lie, it’s expensive…
https://www.pinetales.com/products/buckwheat-pillow?variant=45182891851974
Get the “standard size” and then play with how much buckwheat is inside (there’s a zipper)
This one has a little foam pad cover, I find it works better for me since sleeping directly on a bag of buckwheat can feel a little weird.
I fluff it up a little taller when I sleep on my side, then flatten it out to sleep on my back (I switch positions 3-4 times a night). Best pillow I ever owned.

16·6 days agoThere’s no such thing as “cracking back in place” there’s no studies showing long term benefits. It’s basically an expensive, poorly implemented massage.
You may not believe it, but you’re significantly better off with physical therapy and an actual massage.
I know a lot of people feel relief from a chiropractor visit, but it’s not helping long term, and it can permanently injure you in some rare cases.

220·7 days agoI love how these models apologize like they mean it. It doesn’t mean it. It doesn’t feel bad, and it will do it again.
Apologies mean “I made a mistake and I learned from it so it won’t repeat.”
Sure it claims it added more notes to it’s config, but if it ignored the rules before, what makes you think that new rules are going to change anything?

4·13 days agoFYI, you can still dedrm Amazon books. Even ones you buy today.
Edit: Not going to lie, it’s a lot more complicated now. But it actually works for Amazon borrowed books too (i.e. - Libby library books)
You have to use KindleForPC 2.8.0. You download the books you want, then run an app called KFXKeyExtract28 to pull out all the keys.
You have to have DeDRM installed in calibre and point the plugin to the keyfile that gets generated (you only have to do this once)
Then you can import the books into calibre and everything will work as normal.

Don’t get discouraged, it works, you just have to figure out the right workflow that you’re comfortable with.
Also, I have no idea why they don’t just update the ReadMe, as it seems like this discussion thread is the only actual place this is documented.

Yup, perfect solution.
