Do they have a song called “Boboo Boris?”

“Man rests from one labor by doing another.” That also works for managing chronic pain, as I’ve discovered…

Do they have a song called “Boboo Boris?”
You know, that’s a good Q-- did the “RageFace” comics borrow much of that style & energy from Ren and Stimpy…?

Yes, I think you explained it well. I’d not stated it very precisely, and I do feel like this is a low-risk platform at the moment.
Still, there’s always the potential risk that whatever is posted & commented here can be tracked and recorded in to a permanent record of sorts. And that AI / other tools could possibly be used to collect such info and profile people. Things are changing fast, so I deem it best to be cautious, with an eye on the future.

Shoot… some of that stuff I should be able to block via my U-matrix extension. Would just need to play around with the javascripts, I guess.

This ep isn’t graven in to my memory like some others, but I do have some little bits and pieces for this one:

I’m not sure how they do it exactly, but Reddit is evidently really good at detecting alts. Not necessarily by IP# or common information across accounts, but by… well I don’t know, some deep algorithms or something?
Reddit still has use to me, and there are one or two communities in which I have roots and a relationship with the mods, etc. I’d really rather not mess around with that or risk getting in to an ‘account war’ with Reddit over alts. At least at this time…

One can get banned for that, as well as the fact that you’re once again uploading info that might possibly be used against you in future. Even the Fediverse tracks its accounts as I understand it and makes one’s history semi-permanent.
The only true alternative I know is to take part in an accountless system or one which is heavily anonymized, like the ‘Chan’ stuff or whatever. For me it’s just far easier to tread lightly, and avoid certain topics.
EDIT: Downvote away, but give me a rebuttal if you can.
Really summoning up that classic “RageFace” comics look.
The other day I even saw the style used in a Euro comic:

Basically all comment history is hidden.
Oh, actually I was forced to do that myself due to the slight possibility of doxxing, etc. Ten-year account over there that I still use, and traditionally I practice complete transparency. But the times, they is be changing…
Oh, actually there is a workaround (or at least there used to be). Add the acct in question as a “friend,” then click on the Friend stream. You’ll be able to see their content.

Hidden profiles?

I 'd not heard of this series before, but it looks like it was part of the Archie comics line, specifically their superhero line, which I hadn’t heard of either. It seems this was a guy who never quite ‘took off,’ but here and there over the years they would make little stabs to bring him back.
I guess if you were an Archie superhero, the rules might be a little than if you were DC / Marvel…

Keeping in mind that I didn’t use Digg much back in the day, I don’t really understand the idea of re-launching a service that fell out of use in the first place.
Or if MySpace (etc) was to relaunch with modern features, could it expect to succeed out of nostalgia, or something…?
I’m honestly impressed by the number of ways people have turned a relatively cool & fun word in to something more and more annoying with each variation.
Of course, that’s just me vibesnaping. 👺

Yes. And just like a standup comic, you get to refine them with every iteration.
Every relationship partner gets to hear a more polished, expanded repertoire, so the more the merrier. :D
Of course the flipside is when your stories have fallen out of vogue, or you’re cognitively at the level of Grandpa Simpson. Nobody wants to hear that shizzle, man.
I was addressing OP’s need.
It’s up to Lemmy.World to determine how they want to handle the acct / community.
Every single post in that community seems to be like that.
Seems like it might be a bot acct just following… well, whatever script that might be for.
EDIT: You could just block the community if those posts start to annoy you.

I would tend to think that the escapist and addictive qualities of some games contribute to negative perceptions. There really are gamers that take it too far, for the worse.
But on the whole, I believe studies show that gaming in moderation has a host of healthy benefits.

I still love it as an adult, but I don’t have to drive through it, so there’s that!
To me, snow looks nice, feels nice, is bright and cheerful, and muffles sound wonderfully. It’s fun to play with and walk through. Ice on the ground is another matter though, which is when and where I break in to my ‘penguin shuffle,’ so as to avoid slipping and falling on my arse.
I was half-joking, TBC. Technically, the original song’s title was “Welcome Christmas,” and I wouldn’t exactly expect a band trying to be any kind of hip to perform it:
