The Pentagon is trying to fast-track the deployment of spacecraft for surveillance of geosynchronous Earth orbit, or GEO, a strategically important region roughly 22,000 miles above Earth where many U.S. communications, missile warning and intelligence satellites operate.

So…they want a solution to monitor what is currently moving around in GEO. Doesn’t seem particularly sinister or even like “spying”

These are satellites that will monitor geostationary orbit, not monitor from geostat. They’re not a secret, and aren’t really “spying”, given that their existence isn’t a secret.

    What a moronic headline.

You just need to get out to look at the sky at 3-4 AM with a telescope and you will find some good unknown stuff to look at.

Unknown as just unknown not as UFOs but maybe you can also see one of these.

They can give me 10 billion dollars to make an AItellite. I won’t have to actually make anything useful, just throw some garbage in the air once in a while and claim victory constantly.
