Every step of anything laughably comparable to American civil rights was won with violence. Your right to vote was achieved through violence. Fascists are defeated, explicitly, throughout all of history, with violence. At this point, who is benefiting from pacifism?
You say that like you just go out there like Rambo and start shooting all the bad guys. I’m in the U.S. asshole. I am actively preparing myself mentally and materially for that inevitability, in a completely literal and non-hyperbolic way. Feel free to tell me how much of a hurry you’re in to get shot and imprisoned when it’s an actual thing you’re staring down the barrel of. I’ll go out there and get shot and killed for my loved ones when the time comes, and it will, but I have to be alive until then. Give us a tactical outline on how to not go out there and die in vain or shut the fuck up, because there have been plenty of people trying that route and getting killed for it at the moment. Sadly fascism isn’t just a John Wick movie away from being ended, things are a bit more complicated than that.
