There are several words and an entire psychological spectrum of study related to that sort of rationale.

Things that are violent:

• Imprisoning and deporting innocent immigrants

• State-sanctioned murder of black people via police

• Legislating away the human rights of trans people

• Forcing women to give birth against their will

The real illiberal, fundamentalist, totalitarian terrorists are on the right. I didn’t shed a tear for Kirk and I wouldn’t for PP or JK, either.
