As a Titan Fall 2 fan, I had a bit of interest just based on it having ex-respawn folks. It sounds like the devs did have love for what they were doing, and went in with the intention of piecing the best of various shooter genres. Shame that it turned out the way it did.
I added it to my steam account to try it out, actually
Requires you to install a root anticheat
Nah nevermind. I would have tried it but they lost me with that.
It also came out that Tencent was investing in this game, which doesn’t surprise me. Also makes the game’s reveal at TGA make way more sense.
Oh man the steamdb chart for this game is brutal.
I was massively underwhelmed by this trailer at the Game Awards, but that’s not particularly surprising to me because I’m personally not a fan of hero shooters, or frankly even PvP in general these days.
But it still hurts to see something like this. As a very creative person, it would crush my soul to work hard on something that got memed so hard to death. And of course, it affects their livelihoods as well.
The devs were going to be laid off either way as that is the standard for today’s crappy industry.
Even still, having this on your CV doesn’t look great.
I feel sorry for the 10 players left playing this game.
Sucks their game sucks. At least there’s countless other options!
Even after this anti-hype, I was curious and would have checked out the game. But it was not playable on Linux. They didn’t gave me a chance.
Beautiful, it’s not even listed on are we anticheat yet either (but there’s a github request to put up the denial.)
