I hadn’t seen many posts about it, so I thought others might want to know.
A porn instance is the perfect single topic instance. We need more of them
There’s something silly about describing a NSFW intance’s shut down as untimely lol. As if it could have had a more timely death. Not to criticize the wording in any way, it just gave me a chuckle.

Why is there a single, dedicated nsfw instance in the first place? The fediverse exists for decentralisation. No one can control it on their own, no single point of failure, if one part (instance) dies there are still loads of alternatives left. With just another single, centralized instance, it just becomes a prime example for the definition of insanity and history repeating itself.
I’m not sure who downvoted you. But yeah, it’d be great if there were more instances of everything in the fediverse, but administration takes time, effort, and money.

If a verifiable adult looks young, what’s the issue?
Imagine being told your body is so controversial that you’re not allowed to post pictures of it.
The issue is that they’re marketing to pedophiles. If they marketed those same sex workers to people who are attracted exclusively to adults, I would have no problem.

Fauxbait is short for faux jailbait. Jailbait is child porn that looks like adult porn. So in short, fauxbait is pictures of adults who look like children who look like adults.

Unless it’s a community dedicated to ousting and publicly shaming them, there should never ever be pedo comms. If the instance admins don’t/haven’t banned it and its active users, they’re complicit and should also be shamed.

I have contacted @lemmyposter212@fedinsfw.app, the admin, about the community. They’ve stated it doesn’t break the rules and won’t be removed.

You realize that isn’t at all what is happening, right?
That’s literally the opposite of what was said.
Pedophilia is sexual attraction for children, and the community is for people who are sexually attracted to children. It’s full of fake child porn for pedophiles to masturbate to. @lemmyposter212@fedinsfw.app is making the distinction that real child porn is against the rules, but fake child porn for pedophiles to masturbate to is not. @introvertturtle@lemmy.zip is saying it’s disgusting that wanting to look at child porn is allowed, regardless of whether the child porn is real or fake.
Those two statements look contradictory because you’re conflating pedophilia with child abuse. There’s no child abuse in the community, but there’s plenty of pedophilia.
I definitely think you are misinterpreting the community. It’s not my favorite community on the site but it doesn’t break any rules, everyone posted id 18+ and it a post is even remotely questionable it’s removed.
You should add a rule against fake pedo porn.
Besides the gross factor, why? If it’s preventing actual CSAM from being consumed, that’s a good thing.
From a sex workers standpoint how fucked up is it to be told YOUR adult body is so obscene no one should ever desire to see it.
If all the pedos want to congregate I believe it just makes it easier to track those fuckers, otherwise I feel that particular space is uncomfortable and just avoid it but I think it’s incredibly fucked up to tell any adult they aren’t a sexual creature like everyone else and that they should be ashamed.

Piefed will automatically post new communities to that comm unless users uncheck a lil box. The admin asked us to uncheck it, so it stopped.
That sounds like a really dumb setting.
Like, I’m sure it’s helpful for people who want it. But, like, it definitely sounds like a setting that should be defaulted off, not defaulted on.
