It’s YouTube music, which is showing popular “podcasts” on its explore page. Must be just because it’s popular because nothing in my algo on either youtube or YouTube music would suggest this shit.

      Yup. I bailed on my YouTube subscription this year and shifted to community radio and bandcamp.

      You can also buy drm free music from sites like Bandcamp. I don’t feel bad buying from smaller groups. Joyride! might actually notice the $10 from me buying their new album.

        They also run regular Friday events where all payments go directly to the artists. I usually limit my purchases to those days.
