This is my favourite base I’ve ever built. It’s off the map at the lowest point of land in the whole game, and it’s stocked with enough stuff that saving the game crashes my Switch.
I really don’t get the point of stocking a base full of materials that you’re never going to use…
It just looks nice. I’m all about the design.
I dig it. Makes me want to jump back in. That game really was mand blowing especially in VR.
Never tried it in VR. That would be crazy!
It’s one of the best VR compatible games ever IMHO. The only problem is the brain squid monsters are too terrifying
Yeah I even though of buying VR just for Subnautuca, but the thought of those massive sea creatures popping up from the dark made me not buy one.
That’s really the most fun I’ve had with this game. Just dicking around in creative for an hour trying to build a cool base or one that defies some sort of logic
I really should have fiddled with the Cyclops, only put the basic junk in there I needed to have with me down in the lava pits.
There’s something that activates my child toy brain having a vehicle large enough to deploy another vehicle. Even Sea of Thieves, being able to have one player steering at the helm, while another is placing treasure down below, while another is deploying the rowboat from the back, gives quite a sense of ownership. Needless to say, trains often fulfill the same desire.
I spent waaaaaay too much time when NMS did the update where we could build out the custom corvettes. But then I did the same when they updated freighter bases to be worth building.
I once built a base in the final boss cave deep in the centre of the map. The pressure was so great, I had to add more compartments with armor plating everywhere to be able to have it not leaking.
