My neighbor’s inlaws are in town this week. I asked them what the occasion was. The occasion was they were supposed to be in Mexico and had to change their plans.
It should stabilize soon I expect… flights are returning slowly but people will and should be vigilant for the next week.
Might depend on what part of Mexico you want to visit. For example, the article mentioned that Guadalajara was the main area this cartel was active and I’ve heard that the areas near the US border tend to not be great, but maybe Cancún is okay?
Or maybe it’d be a good time to visit somewhere like Costa Rica instead.
Going to guess he wants as many cartels causing issues so he can use that as the reason to declare martial law and not have to worry about midterms. If I was the cartels, do a year of mourning, no ket/meth/coke to the states for the rest of the year. Watch as those that support him, struggle with his cause. But not my monkeys, not my circus.
