      I mean it’s literally machine learning. Every time it’s blocked it learns that it was detected as human and then tries again.

      Lemmy needs a shadow ban function for these accounts

          I find nothing wrong with stealing features from Reddit. Lemmy is a link aggregator, like Reddit.

          Shadow banning shouldn’t be used on humans who are annoying but would for spammers.

          Unhelpful bots should be shadow banned if they keep evading bans

            I believe that bots already are sucked into honeypots, though mostly in an instance-dependent manner (and once one gets created on one instance, it can then propagate its content out to all).

            This particular user still shows up because they are an annoying human.
