Also Americans need to nominate people for candidacy. What stood out the most to me in Knock Down The House was that it was AOC’s brother in law that nominated her and the grass roots organization that vetted and asked her to run.

Yup. Politicians aren’t our friends, they are - or at least should be - something like our “employees”. WE (to some degree) choose them, and (to some degree) pay their salaries. It’s up to us to keep them accountable.
Dems top policy needs to be funding social services and adding healthcare to it. I want to see my tax money actually do good things for people in this country. Not do bad things to people in other countries.
