Not true. Plenty of young people enlist for many reasons… Some enlist for patriotism, some for the benefits, some for lack of options/poor employment options. People who don’t enlist usually have better options… or a least more choices. Military enlistment is usually a pragmatic or desperate decision. People who choose not to are not anti-semitic which is a strange accusation. We are citizens of the US, not Israel… they have their own draft. I do not know why that would even be a consideration for a 17-19 year old in the US. They are not exactly readers or followers of current events-- I mean, if they were intellectuals, they would be attending a college. Most of the enlistees come from economically depressed regions that don’t offer them a bright future.

You could have attended college on your dime anywhere… even outside the US without registering. The moment you apply for any federal loan or other financial assist, you are required to register. That is how the wealthy get out of it.
