I think the brilliance of the post is the part where everyone thinks you’re sick and stays away. Plus they won’t care if you’re not acting quite right and people smelling a whiff of alcohol when you open your cough syrup doesn’t set off any alarms.

Only downside is you can only do it for a day or two before you get sent home or need a doctor’s note, definitely not a great long term cover for alcoholics.
